Josiah has recently started toting around some of his stuffed animals during the day. Two are his favorites, in particular. One is a big bear and the other is a cute little lion. Today I pointed at a puppet bear book and told him, "Go get your bear Josiah." He started looking around the room, climbed off my lap and ran over to one of his stuffed animals. I had no idea that he had been paying attention to me calling his stuffed animal "bear." I am always amazed at the things he notices and learns when I have no idea.

Wisdom Teeth
For everyone that knew I was having my wisdom teeth out yesterday, it went well. I asked several people to pray. Most of you knew that I was pretty nervous, but God had grace and it went fine. I got an IV that put me to sleep through the whole thing. The oral surgeon put enough anestesia in my gums to last a couple hours. So by the time feeling came back to my mouth, I had taken some pain killers. My jaw is still very stiff and my gums are tender, but I have been able to eat soft foods with no trouble. I have stiches, so that makes me a little nervous about getting things caught back there. The bottom ones don't feel very tight and are hooked into my cheek tissue in the back. So they told me to keep my mouth "quiet" for a few days. It's been fine. Joe has helped me so much and Josiah has been a lot of fun. One nice thing about hydrocodon is that it really knocks me out. So I slept like a rock last night. The swelling hasn't been too bad. Just a tiny bit puffy on the bottom jaw bone. So there is an update for all of you. Thanks for those of you who prayed for me. I really was anxious for no reason.

Long Weekend
So we made it back from our weekend (which started Thursday and ended Sunday). We had a fun time visiting with family and friends on Saturday. I stayed in a fancy hotel in Spokane while Joe was at his conference. It was beautiful and quiet. They even had this cool lounger chair thing. It looked neat, but I only sat in it once for fun. Not really something you get to take advantage of when you are trying to keep a toddler from breaking something you might have to pay for. But all in all the weekend went well. Josiah slept surpisingly well in the hotel, considering he is used to having his own room and some background noise from an air cleaner. Saturday night and Sunday morning I got to visit some friends while Joe had some brother time...and Heather's company too. :) My friends live about 10 miles from Joe's brother. They just had thier fourth child. Josiah enjoyed the company of other kids. I can't wait for him to have siblings. He is too I think. So here are a few pictures from the weekend. The first is the hotel room and the last is on the way home. I don't think he has ever been so worn out.

My Favorite Kids!

So I saw an adorable new picture of my niece and had to post a little tribute to all my nieces and nephews. God has really blessed us with so many children in our lives. I couldn't be more excited to have to many munchkins in the family. I look forward to many busy and loud holidays. So Nolan, Taylor, Kyra, Jaidyn, Ashleigh, Courage, Jay, and Jonah...We love you! And we are SO looking forward to meeting the upcoming three!
A fun new game.

Fall is coming...
Well, it is finally feeling like the full change of season now. It hasn't been above 70 for a week or two. Even on sunny days. I am enjoying the weather, but it is getting more challenging to keep our apartment warm but Josiah doesn't seem to mind. We went out and played for a little bit the other day. Josiah was jabbering at me about some rocks. The video was too long to post, but he is definitly starting to develop his own little language. He loves to laugh and wander. He is becoming more independant by the day. He LOVES to be outside. I wish we had a yard. We just hve to settle with parks around town and the little grassy spot behind our complex.
