Halloween Costume Party!

We took the kids to a costume party last night. Josiah was a heavy weight boxer and Grace was a black kitten. It was fun to see the kids all having fun and I had a lot of fun dressing the kids up. I made Grace's costume this year. I may try to do it more often. It's satisfying to free sew something and have it turn out well. I made it too small and the cat hood was a little odd shaped, but over all it worked.

Chicken Eggs!

I'm finally able to say our dozen chickens are worth something now. They are at last laying eggs. We only get one a day right now...and it's smaller than a golf ball. But at least I know in a month we should be getting enough eggs to not have to buy any. Josiah LOVES collecting eggs. He doesn't want to leave it in the bucket. He has to sweetly carry it in his hand and gently put it in the egg carton in the fridge. As his mom I have to bite my tongue and not yell, "be careful!" every three second, but I love seeing his pure joy in harvesting his work (he helps me feed all the animals everyday).

I took some new pictures of Grace a few days ago for a collage I was putting together. I thought I would share some. She was in a good mood and fun to take pictures of. I was dissapointed that they came out blurry, but still got a few mostly focused pictures.
