Brisk winter walks

We have been trying to walk somewhat regularly, but when it is below freezing outside with a wind chill, it is hard to get up the motivation. But it is fun to bundle Josiah up and take him out. He enjoys the new sights and sounds. He is almost too big for his front pack though. So we take the stroller sometimes. Very cute sight.

A special visit from some wonderful family!

My Uncle Mike and Aunt Linda came to visit us for a day. We were so thrilled they made the trip, even though it is only an hour drive or so. But it was definitely out of the way and they took up on of their days off together to see us. So thank you so much you two! We got some fun pictures. We had dinner and got to visit more than I think we have ever gotten to before. Uncle Mike and Joe enjoyed football talk and Aunt Linda and I chatted about random topics. We hope they had as much fun as we did.

Josiah at 4 months

Josiah had his four month check up today. The bad part? His shots. He didn't really appreciate those and cried harder than he ever has before. The exciting part was that he is now 27 inches long and 19 pounds. That put him in the 95 percentile for his age. He is still growing and is still a very happy baby. We enjoy him so much!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! We enjoyed our trip to Boise. Dan and his family were there. It was great having five little kids all under the age of two. Talk about never a quiet...or dull....moment. I have the cutest neices and nephews ever! We enjoyed seeing Mark and Lori's family as well. Lukas is getting so big, and Scarlett is quite the mature sister. She does great with Isabel. (For all of you who don't know, Lori is my cousin. Scarlett is the oldest at 12, I believe, then Lukas at 2 1/2 and Isabel is five days older than Josiah.) We had both sets of grandparents there as well. Thank you so much Grandma and Grandpa Hightree for making the trip! We are hoping to have more holidays with everyone there. We hope all of you enjoyed your holidays. Now we are all looking forward to Spring, huh?
