Singing and Dancing

We have noticed that since Josiah was about five months old he has had a strong positive response to music. He would sit up and sway if any little tune came on. So this clip probably wont surprise any of you. I just thought it was darn cute. It is a common occurance for him to walk around the house humming to himself (like you hear him doing here, along to the music).

Crazy Hair Day

Josiah's hair is getting really long, and I just can't bring myself to cut it yet. He still looks pretty cute in it. I figure if it starts looking girly, instead of boy-style shaggy, then I will cut it. But here are a couple crazy hair pictures we took. I was cracking up.

Mmmm...see how much I like grapefruit?

So Josiah's first experience with grapefruit was as expected...he was not a fan. It was really funny though, because he tried to eat the pieces several different times. He got a few down. He would giggle after he would stick it in him mouth, make a face, and spit it out. I was amused for quite a while. I was not quick enough with the camara to catch his full reaction. So here are some picutres of the bitter face.

New Neice and Another on the Way

I wanted to announce that we have a new neice, Jaidyn Dawn. Joe's sister had her baby girl on July 30th, around 12:30 am. Krystal was due on July 29th, so everything went right on schedule and the delivery went smooth. The baby was healthy and everything is going great still. I don't have a picture yet, so when I get one I will post it.
I also wanted to congratulate James and Heather on expecting a little one. You guys are going to be great parents. We love you guys! The picture is of Aunt Heather and Josiah hanging out.

Walking Already!?

So Josiah decided that he needed to take steps on his own. On July 28th he officially took his first true, independant steps. As of now he takes up to about 7 steps before he sits down. Within just the last week he has gotten more steady and isn't falling. If he gets shakey he just stops, stands for second and sits down (although sometimes rather hard) onto his bottom. We are excited to see him changing everyday. He is getting more personality, and attitude. So here is a short video and a funny picture of him standing in the kitchen.

Camping

So it has been quite some time since I last posted. So, we are now back at home for the rest of the year (hopefully) and I have some fun pictures. We went on a family camping trip with my parents and my brother and his family. We were camping for three days, in tents even, around the 26th of July. We all had a wonderful time playing at the lake, riding bikes and motorcycles. We ate campfire food and cooked with propane burners. We had to use lanterns and water from a bucket. I haven't felt so relaxed and full of fresh air in a long time. The Lord made some incredible things in nature, there is no doubt about it. So hopefully the pictures will post this time. Yesterday it wouldn't work. I was dissappointed to see that I didn't get any pictures after Josh and Kyra got there with the girls, but here are a few of some random moments. So if all goes well there will be a couple more posts after this as well.
