Family Photo Finally

So as promised, we took some family photos this last weekend. Hope you all enjoy them. Amazingly, we had two sunny days on MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND. Isn't that like...impossible!?

He Pulled Himself Up!

Josiah officially pulled himself up to standing for the very first time today. Here is a picture of him standing after he did it. Apparently he needed something a little shorter to stand up with. The coffee table was too tall. For a week or two now he has been putting his hands on things while sitting and trying to look on them (i.e. the coffee table and chairs). You can see one of several battle scars on his cheek there. He was standing holding onto a chair and lost his footing. He smacked his cheek on the chair so hard you could see the bruise right after he did it. But no giving up here! He can be determined when is isn't busy being lazy. :)

Visitors

So I have no new pictures today, but I thought I would share with everyone that my brother Josh and his wife, Kyra, stopped through the area last night. It was an adventure, as I can well expect from my brother. They came through around 10 pm, do I made the venture into town with Josiah. On the way there I missed my exit and took a 15 minute detour around the city until I got to the Shari's Restaraunt they were waiting for me at. Josiah slept the whole way there, so that wasn't too bad. We had a nice dinner/midnight snack. The kids got to see each other. Josiah wanted to play with Courage, as usual. Ashleigh was well attached to her mom (who would have like her to be well attached to dad). It was a nice visit. We got home around 12:30 and Josiah transferred to his crib well and slept until 6 am. Josh and Kyra made the 4 hour trek back to Idaho from the resaraunt. I imagine they got home somewhere around 5 am. What troopers. So Josh and Kyra, thanks for the adventurous visit. I would expect nothing less.

Awake from a Nap

So I realize that videos are taking over my blog, but what better way to get to know someone? I also realize that Joe and I are not really in any of the pictures since Josiah was a couple months old. SO, I am going to try to remedy that with a family photo in the near future. We have yet to get one since Josiah has been born. The post is also going to serve as an "update" post. While there isn't anything especially new going on with us, I thought you all might like to just hear what is the same? Joe will be returning to his job next year. He is excited to be out of work for the summer soon. His last day should be somewhere around the 20th of June. He will have two months off, in which we will be doing a LOT of traveling. Among the travel plans are two weddings (my friend and my cousin), a trip to the Oregon coast for the 4th of July, a trip to Texas to see my brother Dan and his family and possibly a trip to Sandpoint, Idaho and Randle, Washington. So, needless to say, by the time Joe gets back to work, he should be glad to have his feet on...motionless ground. We are very excited for the adventures to come though. I am hoping Josiah enjoys all the new sights and he should not be short of attention! Oh, and on the video; Josiah had just gotten up from a nap. I like to stand him up because it is easier to pick him up out of the crib that way. He decided to chat with me a bit before I got him out. So, thus, his funny little "conversation" with me.

Baby in a Basket

I was having a hard time figuring out something to occupy Josiah. So I decided to try out letting him play in our empty laundry basket. He had a blast. He is talking to me in the top picture. The things babies and kids find fun, huh?

Getting Tired Wherever

Josiah has taken up the habit lately of falling asleep in his ExerSaucer. This was the funniest video of them. The first couple times I just found him asleep. This one was the process of him falling asleep. Josiah now has five teeth, possibly six. He wouldn't let me investigate the top one today. But I think he has all four top center (the left front one is the one I am not positive about) and his middle bottom two. We are not wondering why he has been a little cranky lately. That is a lot of teeth in a very short amount of time! The top four have all broken through within the last week or so.
