Welcome Jessy Jean!

Our niece, Jessy Jean, was born late this afternoon. She weighed in at 8 lbs. 14 oz. and was 20 inches long. We got to visit with her for a bit at the hospital tonight. She is a beauty. She has healthy round cheeks and her mom says she has dimples when she makes faces. We are excited to watch her grow. Congratulations Jay and Wendy!

Thanksgiving Fellowship Meal

We are headed to a dinner at our church. I am excited to go out and enjoy the company of people. Joe has been a great sport about going with me to all kinds of things, even though he doesn't like big social situations very often. So thanks Joe! Hopefully Josiah doesn't make it a hard night. He can be very determined. I am planning on the food keeping him distracted. :)

Josiah is quite persistant with Joe if he wants attention. He sits quietly on his lap sometimes...if he just wants to cuddle. Of course, Joe doesn't mind a bit.

Josiah's House

So Joe got a new computer chair. It came in a giant box, so I thought I would make a little house out of it. Josiah has investigated it, but it isn't his favorite toy in the house. Maybe he will take more of an interest in it over the next few days.

Our View

Although we live in a small apartment where you often feel as though you are in a hotel room with people stomping up and down stairs, yelling, and conversations being overheard from a seperate floor, we do have a great view. It is full blown fall here. The leaves have turned and it is constantly chilly and breezy. Today is an overcast day, and even with that I woke up this morning to a spectacular view out the windows in our front room. So here is a little bit of what we see. We are on the second floor, so we overlook a good portion of the town.

Alaskan Cruise Anyone?

So my aunt and uncle went on a cruise in Alaska towards the end of September. I have had photos for a couple months, but kept forgeting to post a few. So, better late than never. I had lots to choose from (thank you SO much for sharing Uncle Mike and Aunt Linda). I am so glad that you guys got the opportunity to do something so special for such a big anniversary. We love you both.

Halloween

So this year was a pretty big flop for Halloween in our house. Joe was out of town and I wasn't feeling great. I am not much of a fan of the holiday anyhow, so I am not completely dissappointed, but I would have liked it to be a little more than it was. I couldn't even find a last minute costume for Josiah. I had nothing in the house that could be transformed into a makeshift outfit. At least not with my imagination. So I picked out the most fall/festive outfit I could find and toted him off to the family fun night at a local school. I had volunteered to help, which also flopped. It wasn't organized enough for me to have a specific duty. So, for any of you who have recently taken care of a toddler, is obviously not going to work. I tried to keep an eye on Josiah, who independantly wanted to roam the gym, while I helped with a couple quick things. Basically, I dropped off some candy, sweated because of pain/stress/heat while I watched Josiah, and then came home 30 minutes after I left. It was kind of funny. No trick-or-treaters. For my credit, I did have a small bowl of about 15 mini milkyways by my door. Just in case. So it was a very average night and ended with Josiah in bed early. I am posting the pictures just because I have nothing else to show for it. Sorry to all family and friends who were hoping to see him in a cute little costume. I would have too. Maybe next year.
