Christmas Day

We had a wonderful Christmas. Aside from my being sick, we had nothing but great experiences for our first Christmas "by ourselves." We chose to stay home this year and work on making a few of our own traditions. Joe's mom and step dad surprised us Christmas morning. We didn't expect them to be able to make it. So we woke up, made a yummy breakfast and opened presents. In the afternoon we headed for the city and had dinner with Joe's brothers and thier families. It was fun having all the kids playing together. For the most part they all held it together (no naps) and played with all the new toys. Dinner was delicious and the company was excelent. :) I didn't get very many pictures from Jay and Wendy's, but the top picture is of Nolan and Jay playing the Wii Mario Kart together.

Christmas Eve

Joe and I opened all of our gifts on Christmas eve and had Josiah open one. This was his attempt. He really was not interested in opening the gift or playing with it after. He was much more involved on Christmas morning.

He LOVES to Dance

Josiah dances to any tune that he hears, even our cell phone rings. Here is a cute video of him dancing to his new Wiggles DVD, "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing." Very appropriate I thought.

O Christmas Tree

So here is our christmas tree. It add such a warm, cheery glow to the house. It makes it feel like the holidays. And so far Josiah hasn't tried to tear anything down!

Family

We had a bit of a chaotic night last night, but it was a lot of fun getting to spend some time with everyone. All of the grandkids on Joe's side of the family thus far (and thier parents, of course) were together. When we tried to get a group picture, Josiah was having a melt down because he was over tired, and Kyra had just fallen down and was upset. So that plan backfired, but I still got a few really cute pictures of the newest addition, Jessy, and the other kids. It really was a great treat to get to see all the kids.
